Our Healthy Baby Boy is Here!

We are happy to announce the arrival of our son, Emmett Michael.
Born July 28, 2011 at 8:04 am, 6 lbs. 14 oz., 19.5 inches.

We had zero complications. Emmett's birth was quick and, dare I say, easy. So far he is strong and as healthy as can be. You'd never guess this little guy came from a Lyme Mama!

Thank you all so much for your support, prayers, and well wishes. I have many things to share in the near future, but for now we're taking some time to relax and enjoy the new addition to our family.

Be back soon!

XO
Sara

  2. Congratulations! I've recently found your blog and eagerly read back from the beginning. I have dealt with chronic Lyme probably since I was a kid and now, at 29, after more than a decade of various treatments, your journey has given me hope that, when it's time, I'll be able to find a way to safely have children. So thank you so much for sharing this. I can't say how much it means to me to know that you have DONE it!

    Congratulations again!

I am 34 and desperately want to have at least 1 child. Thank you so much for sharing your story and for giving other Lymies, like me hope regarding having children!

  10. I just found your site today. I am on my 3rd baby due December 10th. My second was born when I had Lyme but did not have a Lyme Dr so my regular dr gave me 30 day of meds and told me I was healed. I was pregnant with my 2nd three months after the first treatment and had a lot of issues during and after pregnancy. It was not until Nov 2010 that I found a Lyme dr and I was being treated correctly and aggressivly and then found out I was pregnant only 6 months into treatment. Total surprise! Thank you for this site, I have the cord blood box but have not read about what to do with it so it was nice that you had a post about it. My 2nd will need to be tested as she was small in all of her growth scans during my pregnancy and low birth weight and has a lot of health issues now. She is 2. So far at 24 weeks this baby seems healthy and on track.
Congrats on your second beautiful boy!
